The Secret World Open Beta Clarification
In light of recent speculations about the open beta date and business model for The Secret World, Funcom would like to make some clarifications.
- The Secret World is currently in closed beta testing and have been so for several months. Participants in the closed beta range from Funcom quality assurance personnel to external testers who have been selected from our pool of over 500,000 beta registrations.
- Open beta will not be initiated before Christmas, but will be a part of our strategy next year prior to our April 2012 launch.
- Funcom has not yet made any official announcements regarding the business model or price points for The Secret World. This is still being discussed and evaluated internally, and we will make an official announcement when this has been finalized.
